I’ve been very happy to see a few clients moving their annual reports to uncoated stocks this past year. This move has generally been predicated by a desire for recycled stocks – and coated sheets that fit the bill are limited in availability. Presently, coated sheets cap out at most mills at about 30% recycled content for extremely good, technical reasons that are better suited to explain in a short book/long essay. But in a nutshell, recycled fibers have difficulty supporting the coating applied to coated sheets. Evidently the good folks at New Leaf Papers have discovered a way to skirt these pesky physical constraints. Unfortunately, their papers are not the most easily acquired sheets. But 100% post consumer recycled uncoated sheets are available in great abundance.

The front cover was printed in four color process but the insides look very classy printed in three spot colors throughout. The end product is a very solid, smart and tactile Annual Report for a company’s 25th year doing business.
